Mental Health Awareness
Today, October 10, 2018, is World Mental Health Day. It is an opportunity for people to step outside of their preconceived notions on what mental health means, and take a chance to open their mind up to the truth. Mental health is one area of our lives that unfortunately receives significant negative stigma. There are so many old ideas about “being strong” causes us to shun the idea that mental health should be looked at as a real concern in our daily lives. Today, we take a moment to remind everyone why you should be caring for your mental health just as much as your physical health.
